After a New Zealand friend kept pestering me to try Vegemite, I finally did. So when I visited Australia I knew enough to ignore the little containers next to my toast at breakfast.
Glad you had forewarning :-) It is an acquired taste and notone I would choose for breakfast. The main time I eat it is after I have had a long and heavy lunch eg Christmas Day. It is a quick, nourishing but light meal in the evening.

Touche' dear Brian!!!
I've tried Vegemite, and I forgive you; Australia and New Zealand remain at the top of my travel wish list.

My mother had to have Vegemite imported when she came here!
Ah, but Davis, did your mother feed it to you :-)?
Yes, Brian, she did. Yummy!
